Spinal Muscle Atrophy

Spinal muscle atrophy is a group of genetic disorders that cause progressive muscle weakness. There are multiple forms of the disease, with the most sever form presenting at birth or during infancy. The muscle weakness may cause clubfeet, joint contractures, hip subluxation and dislocation and scoliosis.
